Sponsored by Mount Royal Commemorative Services, Natalie Segall and Jillian Lucht are honoured to coordinate theGood Grief Workshops for Children and Adolescents. This biannual, free workshop is for children and adolescents 5 – 19 years old who have experienced the death of someone close to them.
Age-specific groups led by a team of trained volunteers will provide a group format to help children understand and express their grief. The workshop will involve structured activities that are designed to give children the opportunity to share their feelings with other grieving children, learn from each other, and honour the memory of the person who died.
On the same day, we also offer a concurrent Parent Discussion Group to give parents/guardians the opportunity to discuss the topic of children’s grief.
The most recent Good Grief Workshop for Children and Adolescents was held held at Selwyn House School on Saturday, November 18, 2017. We had an awesome day with record-breaking numbers! To our wonderful volunteers: Heartfelt thanks go out to each and every one of you for the great work you do at the Good Grief Workshops.
If you would like to join us at the next Good Grief Workshop for Children and Adolescents - to be held at Selwyn House School on Saturday, April 28, 2018 - please contact us. We look forward to seeing you.
